What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) has lost communication with the seat heater module in the right front seat. They communicate over a dedicated data bus (LIN bus) that several other climate system components share. The fault is only set on cars fitted with seat heating.
Possible causes
- Open circuit on the data bus between the climate control module and the seat heater module
- Poor contact, moisture or corrosion in the connectors, often under the seat where the wiring moves
- Faulty seat heater module
What you can do
- 1Check whether codes are also stored for other components on the same bus (CCM-DD30 to CCM-DD34) – several codes at once point to a shared wiring fault
- 2Check the connectors under the right front seat and that no wiring has been pinched when the seat was moved
- 3Check the connector at the climate control panel for poor contact and corrosion
- 4If the fault remains, have the wiring and the seat heater module checked by a workshop
