What does this fault code mean?
The climate control module (CCM) checks its settings against the vehicle configuration that should come from the central electronic module (CEM) over the CAN network. The fault code is set when that information is missing. The cause may be an open or short-circuited CAN wire, or poor connections in the connections.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the CAN network
- The communication wire is short-circuited to ground
- The communication wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
- Contact resistance, oxidation or loose connections in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the connectors in the CAN network connections are secure and clean
- 2Check the fuses for the central electronic module (CEM) and the climate control module
- 3Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, read the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) first and follow them
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop measure the CAN wires
