The CEM checks the vehicle configuration file for the right parameter count. If the number is wrong, the fault code is set, and the instruments, turn signals and lighting may then be affected. The fault may come from an incorrect configuration of the car.
Possible causes
- Wrong parameter count in the car's configuration file
What you can do
- 1Check that the battery is charged and that the battery terminals are clean and tight
- 2Check the fuses for the CEM
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the code after a restart and note whether it returns
- 4Clear the code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop reprogram the module, since this needs programming
