What does this fault code mean?
The CEM monitors the drive signal going to the 15i relay coil. The fault code is set when the signal is too high, which is caused by a short circuit to supply voltage in the relay circuit or a defective relay. The general warning lamp may then light.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to supply voltage in the relay circuit
- Defective relay
What you can do
- 1Check with a multimeter that the relay wire has no voltage when the ignition is off
- 2Replace the 15i power supply relay if you can reach it
- 3Activate and deactivate the relay and listen for a click; if it clicks, the relay is probably working
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the control module
