What does this fault code mean?
The CEM monitors the drive signal going to the 15i relay coil. The fault code is set when the signal is too low or missing, for example if the relay is missing, defective or has poor contact in its base. The general warning lamp may then light.
Possible causes
- Relay missing
- Defective relay
- Contact resistance in the relay base
What you can do
- 1Check that the relay sits in its base and that the base contacts are clean and tight
- 2Remove the relay, refit it, switch the ignition on and off, and listen for a click
- 3Replace the relay if it does not click and you can reach it
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the control module output
Symptoms you may notice2
- General warning lamp lit
- Four-C does not work
