The CEM has at some point registered that the software download was not completed, or that the CEM is not fully programmed or configured. The fault is intermittent, so it may have occurred before without being active now. The engine may then fail to start.
Possible causes
- The software download was not completed
- The CEM is not fully programmed or configured
What you can do
- 1With the ignition on, check whether the code returns when you start the engine again
- 2Check that the battery terminals and cable connections are clean and tight, so the CEM voltage is stable
- 3Have a workshop download the software again and check the configuration with diagnostic equipment
- 4The fault may be intermittent. If it returns, have the workshop assess it case by case
- 5After the work, clear the code and check that the engine starts normally
