What does this fault code mean?
The CEM has found the wrong parameter count in the car's configuration file. The fault is registered when the CEM starts up again after a reset. The fix is to reprogram the control module with the correct software, which a workshop does.
Possible causes
- A wrong parameter count in the car's configuration file
What you can do
- 1Check that the battery terminals and cable connections are clean and tight, so the voltage does not drop at start-up
- 2With the ignition on, check whether the code returns after switching the ignition off and on again
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the customer parameters and write them down before any software is downloaded
- 4Programming and new software are done by a workshop, since the control module must be reprogrammed
- 5After the work, clear the code and check that it does not return
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
