What does this fault code mean?
The CEM has registered an internal fault in itself. The instruments, instrument lighting and turn signals may stop working, and performance may be reduced. The fault may be permanent or temporary.
Possible causes
- An internal fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again. Check that the gauges and turn signals work
- 2Check the CEM fuse. If it has blown, replace it once. If it blows again, use a multimeter to check the wire after it has no contact with ground
- 3If the fault returns, read the fault codes with a diagnostic tool if you have one. If the fault persists, the CEM probably needs replacing
- 4After the work, clear the code and check that it does not return
Symptoms you may notice4
- No gauges are working
- The instrument lighting does not work
- The turn signals do not work
- Performance is reduced
