- A defective communication unit in the CEM
What you can do
- 1If the car has a timer or remote start for the parking heater, start it and check that it runs
- 2Check that the connectors to the additional heater and the CEM are seated and not corroded
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the cable between the heater and the CEM has no break or short to ground
- 4With a diagnostic tool, read the fault codes and see whether communication with the heater works
- 5After the work, clear the code and check that the parking heater works
