What does this fault code mean?
The CEM has noted the read button on the stalk held too long. The code is then set, and text messages on the instrument cluster cannot be erased.
Possible causes
- The read button was held in too long
- The read button has stuck in the pressed-in position
What you can do
- 1Make sure the read button on the stalk does not stick or stay pressed. Press and release it several times
- 2If the button is stuck, clean it carefully, or have a workshop replace it
- 3Check that the message on the instrument panel can be cleared once the button works
- 4After the work, clear the code and check that the button works
