Possible causes
- Open circuit in the wire between the sensor and the central electronic module
- Loose or corroded connector under the passenger seat
- Damaged seat belt reminder sensor
What you can do
- 1Check the connectors under the passenger seat – they can easily come loose if the seat has been removed or moved a long way
- 2Check that no wiring under the seat is pinched or broken
- 3Clear the code and see whether it returns
- 4If the fault remains, have the sensor and wiring checked by a workshop
