What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) has registered that the voltage to the blower fan motor is too high, and the fault code is stored when this happens. The fan stops when the voltage gets too high, so the fault shows as a fan that does not work. The fault is checked by running the fan.
Possible causes
- Supply voltage to the fan motor is too high
- Fault in the voltage supply to the fan
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and run the fan to see whether the fault returns
- 2Check that the fan wheel turns freely and that nothing is blocking it
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read the voltage to the fan motor in live data while the fan runs, and check that it stays steady
- 4Check that the fan connectors are secure and free from corrosion
- 5Remedy what is found, and have a workshop replace the fan motor if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice2
- Blower fan does not work
- Air flow problem
What the fault can affect1
- The blower fan motor does not start
