System

Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsS60 (2001–2009), S80 (1999–2006), V70 (2000–2008), V70 XC / XC70 (2001–2007), XC90 (2003–)
What does this fault code mean?
The CEM has registered a high signal on the relay coil for the window lift in the RR door when the window is lowered. The fault is intermittent, so it may have occurred earlier without being active now. It may be caused by a defective relay with a short in its coil, or by a defective control unit.
Possible causes
- Defective relay with a short circuit in the coil, so the window lift does not work
- Defective control unit
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and test the RR window by lowering and raising it to see whether the fault returns
- 2Check that the relay is firmly seated in its holder and that its contacts are not corroded
- 3Check that the connectors to the window lift and the control unit are secure and free from corrosion
- 4If the relay is defective it should be replaced; if the fault returns after that, a workshop should check the control unit
Symptoms you may notice1
- Electric window lift does not work
