What does this fault code mean?
CEM communicates with the sun roof control unit (SRM). If CEM notes that the circuit for global opening and closing of the sun roof is short-circuited to ground or has a break, the fault code is set and the automatic closing of the sun roof does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
- Break in the signal wire for global opening and closing
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and then check that the sun roof can be closed automatically
- 2Check the sun roof control unit connector for loose connections and corrosion
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the sun roof has no break and no contact with ground (the body)
- 4Remedy what is found and check that the sun roof can be closed automatically again
Symptoms you may notice1
- Automatic sun roof closure does not function
