What does this fault code mean?
CEM checks whether the button for opening the fuel filler cover has become stuck. If CEM notes that the button is pressed for longer than normal, the fault code is set. The cause is either a button stuck in the pressed position or a defective light switch module.
Possible causes
- Button has stuck in the pressed position
- Defective light switch module (LSM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuel filler button in the light switch has not stuck in the pressed position, and press it once to see that it springs back
- 2Clear the fault code and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 3If the button works but the fault remains, a workshop should replace the light switch
