The CEM monitors the turn signals and registers a faulty signal from the turn signal switch. The cause may be a damaged switch or a fault inside the steering wheel module (SWM). The indicators do not flash while the fault is present.
Possible causes

- Fault inside the steering wheel module (SWM)
What you can do
- 1Indicate in both directions with the indicator stalk and check that it returns to its centre position afterwards
- 2If the fault only comes now and then it may be intermittent. A test drive shows whether the code returns

- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the steering wheel module (SWM) and replace the switch if the fault returns
