What does this fault code mean?
The CEM monitors the hazard warning button. The code is set when that signal is missing, which is caused by an open circuit in the circuit to the button. The fault is intermittent and may not be present now, but the hazard flashers then do not work.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the circuit to the hazard warning switch
What you can do
- 1Check the hazard warning fuse
- 2Check the connector at the hazard warning button for oxidation and loose connections
- 3With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the wire between the button and the module is unbroken
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check the circuit and the module
