What does this fault code mean?
The CEM has logged an internal fault in the relay for the front windscreen washer motor. The washer motor cannot be switched off because of it, and the fault lies in the control module itself.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns with the ignition on
- 2If the fault has only occurred once, it may be a disturbance at start-up, so check whether the washer motor still runs on
- 3Check that the fuse for the washer function is intact
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the washer and check that the motor stops when it should
- 5If the fault returns or is permanent, have a workshop replace the central electronic module (CEM)
