What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) has registered a signal that is too high, or no signal at all, on the driver circuit for the right-hand indicator. The right-hand indicator then does not work.
Possible causes
- Short to supply voltage in the control signal wire
- Break in the control signal wire to the right-hand indicator
What you can do
- 1Flash the right-hand indicator with the ignition on: if it does not light the fault is permanent, and if it lights the fault has occurred before
- 2Clear the code and check whether it returns with the ignition on
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the control wire to the right-hand indicator has no break and no contact with voltage
- 4Look for chafing on the wire where it may have touched voltage
- 5Check that the connectors to the right-hand indicator are firmly seated and clean
- 6If the fault returns, have a workshop repair the wire
Symptoms you may notice1
