What does this fault code mean?
The code indicates that the control signal for the left-hand indicator is too low, which is caused by a short to ground in the signal wire. The left-hand indicator on that side then does not work.
Possible causes
- Signal wire to the left-hand indicator shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Flash the left-hand indicator with the ignition on to see whether the fault is permanent or has occurred before
- 2Clear the code and check whether it returns with the ignition on
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to the left-hand indicator has no contact with ground (the body)
- 4Look for chafing and pinch damage where the wire may have touched the body
- 5Check that the connectors to the left-hand indicator are firmly seated and clean
- 6If the wire is intact but the fault remains, have a workshop investigate further
