What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent: the signal across the relay coil for the rear washer motor was too high on an earlier occasion, but it is no longer present. The rear washer motor may then fail when it is activated.
Possible causes
- Relay circuit shorted to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns; an intermittent fault can be a temporary disturbance
- 2Check that the relay for the rear washer is securely connected and not damaged
- 3Look for chafing and signs that the relay circuit briefly touches voltage
- 4With the ignition on, activate the rear washer and check whether the motor runs
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop check the relay and the cable
Symptoms you may notice1
- The rear washer motor does not work
