Possible causes
- LED in the rain sensor button shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Check whether the LED in the rain sensor button lights with the ignition on; if it does not, that points to the fault
- 2Clear the code and check whether it returns with the ignition on
- 3Check that the contacts in the button are clean and firmly seated
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the LED has no contact with ground (the body) with the ignition off
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop replace the rain sensor button
