Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) uses default values for the tyre pressure monitoring instead of the values that belong to the car. The cause is that the module's settings do not match the car's equipment. The driver normally notices nothing of this.
Possible causes
- The module's configuration does not match the car's equipment
What you can do
- 1Consider whether anything has recently been done to the car, such as changing wheels, tyres or a control module, as such work can leave the settings wrong
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, read the live data for tyre pressure monitoring and check that all four sensors send a value
- 3Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop check and, if needed, reprogram the module's configuration
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
What the fault can affect1
- Default values are used instead of the stored values in the central electronic module (CEM)
