Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The signal from a tyre pressure sensor has gone missing while driving, because the sensor no longer sends its values to the CEM. The module cannot tell which wheel it is, so the fault could concern any wheel. Causes are a damaged tyre pressure sensor or a remote receiver that is not working.
Possible causes
- Damaged tyre pressure sensor
- The remote receiver is not working
What you can do
- 1Lock and unlock the car with the remote control; if that fails, the remote receiver needs troubleshooting first
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment, note which sensor ID lost its signal and when it happened during the drive
- 3Do not swap the sensor yourself. Have a workshop check and replace the sensor that has lost its signal
- 4Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
