Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
One of the tyre pressure sensors reports a battery voltage that is too low. The central electronic module (CEM) cannot pick out which of the four wheels is affected. The driver does not normally notice this, but it should be dealt with, as the sensor could otherwise stop working.
Possible causes
- Low battery voltage in the tyre pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Test locking and unlocking the car with the remote control to confirm the remote receiver responds
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, read the sensor ID for the fault code and compare it with earlier readings
- 3Have a workshop replace the sensor that has the matching ID number
- 4Clear the fault code and road test. If it returns after the test drive, the workshop needs to carry out further checks
Symptoms you may notice2
- Text window and warning symbol in the display
- Tyre pressure monitoring warning lights and chimes do not show the correct status
