Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The battery voltage in a tyre pressure sensor has dropped far enough for the control module to register a fault, and the fault code is stored if this happens during a drive. The module does not know which wheel it is, so the fault could be on any of the four.
Possible causes
- Low battery voltage in the tyre pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Drive the car for a while after the fault code is cleared to see whether it returns
- 2Check the remote receiver with the remote control: locking and unlocking should work
- 3If the fault code returns, read the sensor ID with a diagnostic tool and have a workshop replace the sensor with the matching ID
- 4Clear the fault code only after you have checked the remote receiver
Symptoms you may notice2
- Text window and warning symbol in the display
- Tyre pressure monitoring warning lights and chimes do not show the correct status
