What does this fault code mean?
The CEM receives the messages sent by the left rear wheel's tyre pressure sensor, relayed by the remote receiver. The fault shows that a sensor whose ID number was already received in the same driving cycle has stopped sending messages. This can be because the sensor is damaged or not correctly fitted in the wheel.
Possible causes
- The left rear tyre pressure sensor is damaged
- The left rear tyre pressure sensor has been fitted incorrectly
What you can do
- 1Test the remote control: the car should lock and unlock when you press the button. If it does not, troubleshoot the remote control and receiver first
- 2Check that the left rear sensor is fitted correctly in the wheel and is not damaged, for example after a puncture or tyre change
- 3If you have recently changed or moved wheels, have a workshop read and activate the sensor ID numbers so they are matched to the correct wheel
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, read the tyre pressure for the left rear wheel in live data and check that the value updates while the car is driven
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the remote receiver and the sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- Warning symbol and text message in the tyre pressure display
