What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) monitors how much current the daytime running lights draw. The fault shows that the current draw is lower than expected but not zero, which suggests that only one of the two lights is faulty.
Possible causes
- A daytime running light is missing or broken
- Break in the power feed to one of the two lights
What you can do
- 1Read off and note the code, clear it and check whether it returns when the daytime running lights are on
- 2Look at whether both daytime running lights come on and are equally bright
- 3Check whether a light is broken and replace it if needed
- 4Check that the fuse for the daytime running lights is intact and that the light connectors are fully engaged
- 5If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the daytime running lights with the tool and check whether both lights come on
- 6If the fault remains, have a workshop check the wiring to the daytime running lights
