What does this fault code mean?
The control module monitors the collision input from the supplemental restraint system (SRS). The fault shows that the CEM has registered a collision signal, which can be caused by a collision having occurred or an airbag having deployed. The restraint system must be checked before the signal is reset.
Possible causes
- A collision signal has been registered in the supplemental restraint system
What you can do
- 1Read off and note the code, but do not clear it until the restraint system has been checked
- 2Check whether the car has been in a collision or an airbag has deployed, as this explains why the signal was registered
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself: have a workshop check the restraint system and reset the collision signal
- 4Do not drive the car with a restraint system warning until a workshop has checked it
Symptoms you may notice3
