Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
2 modelsV40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The CEM exchanges data with the overhead console module (OHC) and the rear reading light (RRL) over a shared LIN bus. The code is stored when the switch used for the sun blind stays active for too long. The electric sun blind in the panorama roof then does not work.
Possible causes
- The overhead console module (OHC) is damaged
What you can do
- 1Note the code, clear it and try the sun blind with the button on the overhead console to see whether it moves correctly
- 2Check that nothing is blocking the sun blind mechanically, for example an object in the roof, and that it moves freely
- 3Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: read the status of the sun blind switch in live data and check that it returns to inactive when the button is released
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check and, if needed, replace the overhead console
