The CEM feeds the left rear position light directly from an output. The code is stored when the supply cable has a break. The left rear position light then does not work.

What you can do
- 1Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Check that the lamp is secure and that the connectors in the lamp housing are clean and free from oxidation
- 3Look for chafing and pinch damage on the supply cable, especially where it may have been bent by movement
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply cable is not broken, for example by checking continuity between two contact points
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wiring and the control module output
Symptoms you may notice1
- Left rear position light does not work
What the fault can affect2
- The function switches off permanently after 100 driving cycles in which the fault was detected
- Clearing the fault codes resets the output
