What does this fault code mean?
The motion sensor is mounted in the overhead console (OHC), next to the rear view mirror. It checks its own function, and the code is stored when the sensor itself reports an internal fault. A yellow warning symbol with a text message then appears in the display.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the movement sensor (IMS)
What you can do
- 1Note the code, clear it and check whether it returns after a drive
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the sensor status in live data and check that it gives a valid value
- 3Check that the connectors in the overhead console are secure and clean
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the motion sensor
