What does this fault code mean?
The CEM continuously receives information from the light switch module (LSM). The code is stored when one of the buttons on the light switch module has been active for longer than a set time, which can be caused by a button stuck in the pressed-in position. The light switch or switch indication then does not work as it should.
Possible causes
- A function button has jammed in the pressed position
- Damaged light switch module (LSM)
What you can do
- 1Check that no button on the light switch is stuck in the pressed-in position. Press each button and check that it returns
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the button status in live data and check that it changes when a button is pressed and released
- 3Check that the relevant fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the light switch and replace it if needed
