What does this fault code mean?
The left camera module (LCM) communicates with the Central Electronic Module (CEM) over the LIN bus. The fault is stored when the CEM detects that the supply wire to the LED in the left blind spot warning indicator is short-circuited to earth.
Possible causes
- The supply wire to the LED is short-circuited to earth
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2With the engine running, switch on the blind spot function and see whether the left indicator lights, then clear the fault code and road test
- 3Check the cable to the left indicator for chafing, pinch damage and loose connectors
- 4Disconnect the connector at the indicator and use a multimeter to check that the wire has no contact with earth (the body)
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the left camera and the wiring

- The blind spot warning indicator on the left side does not light
- A text message or warning symbol may appear in the display
