What does this fault code mean?
The CEM supplies power to the parking assist sensors. The fault is stored when the supply voltage is too high or missing, caused by an open circuit or a short circuit to battery voltage.
Possible causes
- The supply wire has a break or is short-circuited to battery voltage
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the parking assist is switched on and see whether it gives any signal after the fault code has been cleared
- 3Check the supply wire to the sensors for breaks, chafing and loose connectors
- 4With the connectors disconnected, use a multimeter to check that the wire is continuous between the connector ends and has no contact with the battery positive
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the sensors and the supply from the CEM
Symptoms you may notice1
- Parking assist at the front and rear does not work
What the fault can affect2
- The function switches off permanently after 100 driving cycles where the fault was detected
- Erasing the fault codes resets the output
