What does this fault code mean?
The CEM communicates with the rear reading light (RRL) over the LIN bus. The fault is stored when the reading light has itself detected an internal fault. The fault is therefore in the unit and not in the wiring.
Possible causes
- Damaged rear reading light (RRL)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Try the reading light with its button to see whether it lights, then clear the fault code and road test
- 3Check that the connectors at the rear reading light are secure and not corroded
- 4If the code returns the fault is permanent, and the rear reading light then needs replacing by a workshop
