Possible causes
- Contact resistance, oxidation or poor contact in the connections
- Open circuit in the relay drive circuit
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuse for the horn is intact
- 2Press the horn to see whether it works, then clear the fault code and road test
- 3Check the connectors at the horn relay and at the CEM, and clean or press in any that are loose
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the relay is continuous between the connector ends
- 5If the fault returns, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment fault-trace the CEM, the relay and the wiring
Symptoms you may notice1
