What does this fault code mean?

Possible causes
- The signal wire to the low beam lamp is shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it comes back after a new driving cycle with the low beam on
- 2Check that the fuse for the left low beam is intact
- 3Look for chafing on the signal wire to the left low beam lamp, especially where it may have touched metal
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with ground (the bodywork)
- 5If the wire is intact, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the module output and the lamp
Symptoms you may notice3
- The headlight does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
- The bulb failure warning in the instruments comes on or behaves abnormally
What the fault can affect3
- The function switches off during the driving cycle in which the fault is detected
- After repeated driving cycles with the fault, the function is switched off permanently
- Clearing the fault codes and starting a new driving cycle resets the output
