What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) monitors the alarm siren with control messages. The code is set when the siren or its control module has registered an internal component fault. The alarm may then stop working, and a yellow warning symbol may appear in the display.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the alarm siren control module (SCM)
- Internal fault in the alarm siren (BBS)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code and check whether it comes back when the alarm is activated
- 2If the code does not return, the fault is probably intermittent, and it is enough to follow up the next time the alarm is used
- 3Check that the alarm fuse is intact
- 4Look for loose or corroded connectors at the siren
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the siren and replace it if the fault returns
Symptoms you may notice3
- The alarm does not sound, and no visible or audible signal appears
- Other alarm problems
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
