What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) reads the signal from the clutch pedal position sensor. The code is set when the signal is too low, which can be caused by the signal wire being shorted to ground or by a damaged sensor. The cruise control is then switched off, and
Possible causes
- The signal wire from the clutch pedal sensor is shorted to ground
- Damaged clutch pedal position sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then check that the cruise control can be used when it is safe to do so
- 2Check the connections at the clutch pedal sensor for oxidation and loose contacts
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from the sensor has no contact with ground (the bodywork)
- 4Check that the clutch pedal moves freely and does not stick
- 5Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the sensor and the control module if the wiring is intact
