The central electronic module (CEM) receives the signals from the tyre pressure sensors through the remote receiver. On Volvo cars the position of the sensors cannot be determined, so the fault could be on any of the four wheels. It is set when a sensor reports low battery voltage, and
Possible causes
- Low battery in the tyre pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code and drive the car a longer distance to see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the pressure in all four tyres is correct
- 3Have a workshop identify which wheel's sensor has the low battery and replace it, since you cannot tell this yourself
