What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) gets its information from the left front wheel's tyre pressure sensor via the remote receiver. The code is set when a sensor that sent messages earlier in the same drive stops sending. One possible cause is a sensor that is not intended for the car being fitted.
Possible causes
- A tyre pressure sensor not intended for this car is fitted
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code and drive the car a longer distance to see whether it comes back
- 2Tell the workshop if the wheels or tyres have recently been changed, for example to winter tyres, since a sensor that does not belong to the car may have been fitted
- 3Have a workshop check which sensor is in the left front wheel and replace it if it does not belong to the car
Symptoms you may notice2
- Message in the display
- The tyre pressure monitoring warning comes on or behaves abnormally
