What does this fault code mean?
The central electronic module (CEM) receives the signals from the tyre pressure sensors through the remote receiver. On Volvo cars it cannot be determined which of the four sensors applies, so the code may refer to any wheel. It is set when a sensor that sent messages during the same drive stops sending.
Possible causes
- Damaged tyre pressure sensor
- The remote receiver is not working
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code and drive the car a longer distance to see whether it comes back
- 2Test the remote control by locking and unlocking the car; if that does not work, the remote receiver may be the cause
- 3Have a workshop determine which sensor is faulty and replace it, since this cannot be seen on the car
