What does this fault code mean?
Earlier in the drive the control module received signals from a sensor with a particular ID number, but that sensor is now sending nothing. This concerns the tire pressure sensor at the left rear wheel. One cause given is that a tire pressure sensor not intended for this car has been fitted.
Possible causes
- A tire pressure sensor not intended for this particular car is fitted
What you can do
- 1Check that the tire pressure sensor at the left rear wheel is one intended for this particular car. A sensor from another car must be replaced with the correct one
- 2Read and clear the fault code, then road test and see whether it returns
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, read out the sensor ID numbers for all four wheels and see whether the sensor at the left rear wheel is missing or sends nothing
- 4Check the remote control and receiver by locking and unlocking the car. Troubleshoot them first if they are not working
- 5If the fault remains after the correct sensor is fitted, replace the sensor at the left rear wheel and have a workshop activate the new one
Symptoms you may notice2
- Yellow warning symbol and a message in the display
- The tire pressure monitoring shows no indication for the fault, or the warning lamp comes on
