What does this fault code mean?
A tire pressure sensor has stopped sending signals, although it was received earlier in the same drive. Because the code does not say which wheel is affected, it could be any of the four sensors, and a diagnostic tool is needed to find out which one. The cause may be a damaged sensor or a remote receiver that is not working.
Possible causes
- Damaged tire pressure sensor
- The remote receiver is not working
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code, then road test and see whether it returns
- 2Check that the remote control locks and unlocks the car. If not, troubleshoot the receiver first
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the frozen values for the code and compare the stored sensor ID with the IDs of the four sensors
- 4Replace the sensor that caused the fault and have a workshop activate the new one. A sensor that has stopped sending is probably damaged
