Volvo models this fault code applies to
This fault code has different meanings depending on model, model year or engine. Select the meaning that applies to your car.
Applies to the following models:
7 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The battery voltage in one of the tire pressure sensors is too low. The sensors have built-in batteries, so the code could apply to any of the four wheels. Because the code does not name the wheel, the sensor must be identified with a diagnostic tool before any sensor is replaced.
Possible causes
- Low battery in a tire pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read, clear and road test the car to see whether the fault code returns
- 2With a diagnostic tool: read the frozen values for the code and note which sensor was stored
- 3If a new sensor has been fitted, have a workshop activate it from transport mode
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the stored sensor, since its battery is the likely cause
