This fault code has different meanings depending on model, model year or engine. Select the meaning that applies to your car.

7 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The tire pressure sensors send pressure data through the remote receiver. If the signal from one of them becomes too weak, or cannot be interpreted, the control module records the fault. The code does not name the wheel, so a diagnostic tool is needed to establish which one it is.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the tire pressure sensor
- Internal fault in the remote keyless entry (RKE) receiver
- Low battery in the tire pressure sensor
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2Test the remote control by locking and unlocking. If it does not work, troubleshoot the remote and receiver before starting on the sensors
- 3With a diagnostic tool: note the sensor ID stored with the fault code and compare it with the IDs of the four wheels
- 4If the fault remains, replace the sensor whose ID matches the stored one, and have a workshop activate the new sensor
Symptoms you may notice1
- Yellow warning symbol and a message in the display
