What does this fault code mean?
Earlier in the drive the control module received signals from a sensor with a particular ID number, but that sensor no longer sends anything. This concerns the tire pressure sensor at the right rear wheel. One cause given is that a tire pressure sensor intended for a different car is fitted in that wheel.
Possible causes
- A tire pressure sensor intended for a different car is fitted
What you can do
- 1Check that the sensor at the right rear wheel is intended for this particular car. If a sensor from another car is fitted there, change it to the correct one
- 2Clear the fault code and road test to see whether it returns
- 3A diagnostic tool shows which ID numbers are being received. If the sensor at the right rear wheel is missing from the list, it is the one to replace
- 4Troubleshoot the remote control and receiver first if they are not working, by testing locking and unlocking
- 5If the fault remains with the correct sensor fitted, replace the sensor at the right rear wheel and have a workshop activate the new one
