What does this fault code mean?
During the drive a tire pressure sensor has stopped transmitting, and the control module loses contact with it. Because the code does not say which wheel is involved, this has to be established with a diagnostic tool. The cause may be a damaged sensor or a remote receiver that is out of action.
Possible causes
- Damaged tire pressure sensor
- The remote receiver is out of action
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code with a diagnostic tool, clear it and road test the car
- 2Test the remote control. If it does not lock or unlock the car, troubleshoot the receiver first
- 3Read the frozen values and note which ID number is stored, then compare it with the ID number of each wheel
- 4If a new sensor has been fitted, have a workshop activate it from transport mode, because a new sensor does not transmit until it is activated
- 5Replace the sensor that has stopped transmitting and have a workshop activate the new one
