What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is a programming fault. It concerns a tire pressure sensor that was present in the previous drive but is not sending anything in this one. On these cars the sensor positions cannot be determined, so this has to be found with a diagnostic tool, and a new or repaired sensor needs to be activated with special equipment.
Possible causes
- Damaged tire pressure sensor
- The remote receiver is out of action
What you can do
- 1Check that the remote control locks and unlocks the car. If it does not, troubleshoot the remote receiver first
- 2With a diagnostic tool, see which of the four sensors has no stored ID number, since that is the likely culprit
- 3Replace the sensor that is missing, and have a workshop activate the new one with special equipment, because activation needs the tool
- 4Clear the fault code after the sensor has been activated, then drive a longer stretch at fairly high speed to see whether it returns
